Advanced Practice Nurse job satisfaction survey

Til hjúkrunarfræðinga (NP/APN):

Dear Sir/Madam:

My colleagues and I would like to invite you as a Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse (NP/APN) to participate in an online survey. Confidentiality will be assured . The aim of the study is to compare the level of job satisfaction between Nurse Practitioners/Advanced Practice Nurses (NPs/APNs) in developing countries to those practicing in developed countries.

We are using the International Council of Nurses (ICN) definition of an NP/APN which is “a registered nurse who has acquired the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded practice, the characteristics of which are shaped by the context and/or country in which s/he is credentialed to practice. A master’s degree is recommended for entry level” (ICN, 2002), but for purposes of this study, not required.
