Alþjóðaráð hjúkrunarfræðinga eru samtök hjúkrunarfélaga í rúmlega 120 löndum. Ráðið var stofnað árið 1899 og eru elstu og víðfeðmustu samtök heilbrigðisstétta í heiminum. Hjúkrunarfræðingar stýra ráðinu og markmið þess er að tryggja: góða hjúkrun fyrir alla, vinna að skýrri stefnumótun í heilbrigðismálum um heim allan, framfarir í hjúkrunarþekkingu og auka virðingu hjúkrunar um víða veröld. Jafnframt vinnur ráðið að því að ávallt séu hæfir og ánægðir hjúkrunarfræðingar við störf.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced nurse to provide visionary leadership and management to guide the work of ICN together with its national nurses’ associations to advance the interests of nearly 20 million nurses worldwide.
